Strategic Investment in Security

The project to build a 40-mm ammunition factory in Niewiadów is one of the most significant private investments in the Polish defense sector in recent years. Its goal is to create a modern production facility capable of manufacturing ammunition that meets NATO standards.

The investment, valued at over 60 million PLN, is being carried out through an industry-finance partnership and includes both infrastructure development and the transfer of advanced manufacturing technologies.

The project aligns with the strategic need to strengthen Poland’s and Europe’s manufacturing independence in the defense sector.


Advanced technology and know-how transfer

The production of 40 mm ammunition is based on proven, licensed technology provided by an international industrial partner. The technology transfer covers the full range of expertise—from technical documentation, through manufacturing processes, to quality control systems.

As a result, the facility in Niewiadów will meet the highest quality and safety standards in effect in NATO countries.

40 mm AMMUNITION – WIDE RANGE OF OPERATIONAL APPLICATIONS

The plant will produce 40-mm ammunition for use in fire support systems, including hand-held and automatic grenade launchers.

These products are suitable for use in:

  • combat operations and infantry support
  • military training and exercises
  • special operations
  • actions taken by uniformed services

Entering the medium-caliber ammunition production segment is an extremely important step toward growth for Proguns. Based on my experience gained during many years of service in the Combat Teams of the GROM Military Unit, I can confirm that 40 mm ammunition is an extremely effective weapon used in hand-held and automatic grenade launchers.

Through our collaboration with the Niewiadów-PGM Group and Forum 119 FIZ, and by utilizing licensed technology from ST Engineering, we are implementing a project that aligns with Poland’s priorities regarding security and technological independence.

We process your personal data in the following areas:

– first and last name,

– home address,

– identification document number (to the extent required by law),

– other data required by law in connection with the conclusion and execution of transactions,

– information regarding the right to acquire and possess firearms, if required by law.

4. Purposes and Legal Basis for Data Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

– to fulfill the sales contract and comply with the documentation requirements related to the sale, including issuing a VAT invoice—pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) and (c) of the GDPR,

– to fulfill the legal obligations incumbent upon the controller, in particular those arising from regulations governing the trade in weapons and ammunition, including record-keeping and reporting obligations – Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR,

– the transfer of data to the competent authorities, in particular the Police, to the extent and under the conditions set forth in the laws governing the trade in firearms and ammunition – Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR,

– to fulfill the obligations arising, in particular, from the following provisions:

  • The Act of May 21, 1999, on Weapons and Ammunition (Journal of Laws of 2024, Item 485)

  • Implementing regulations for this Act,

– pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR,

5. Data Recipients

The recipients of your data may include:

– public authorities, in particular the police and other agencies authorized by law,

– entities providing accounting, legal, and IT services to the controller,

– entities that process personal data on behalf of the controller, pursuant to data processing agreements (Article 28 of the GDPR).

6. Data Retention Period

Personal data will be retained for the period required by law, specifically:

– for the duration of the retention period for tax records (generally 5 years),

– for the period specified in the regulations governing the trade in weapons and ammunition,

– until the statute of limitations for claims expires (generally 6 years).

7. Rights of the Data Subject

You have the right to: access your data, have it corrected, restrict its processing, object to its processing (in cases provided for by law), have it erased (in cases provided for by law), transfer your data (to the extent applicable), and file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

8. Transfer of Data Outside the EEA

Your data is not transferred to third countries (outside the European Economic Area) or to international organizations.

9. Obligation to Provide Information

Providing personal information is mandatory to the extent required by law, particularly laws governing the sale of firearms and ammunition. Failure to provide this information will prevent the transaction from being concluded and completed.

Your data will not be processed automatically, nor will it be subject to profiling.
